Final Project Summaries

The main piece of my final project will be focused on legislature geared towards mental health in our government. I will be interviewing a member of the National Alliance for Mental Illness to hear more about their efforts to show that mental health is just as important as physical health, and it should be represented as such in our democracy.

The supplementary piece of my final project will be focused on voting rights, and how the recent elections in Georgia should be examples for America in the future. More people were able to vote, as people like Stacey Abrams helped mobilize people and protect voting rights to more accurately represent the people in each election. The country should be looking at what happened in Georgia and trying to re-create these efforts so as to ensure that everyone will be able to vote, and our democracy will be a better place.
